Restaurant BUS Whisky | Enjoy Local Produce in Loosbroek
Enjoying local produce
Taste Local!
Every whisky distillery has its own tasting room. But at BUS Whisky, Taste Local also means enjoying local produce. In the tasting room of BUS Whisky we serve a surprise menu. Dining at BUS Whisky means: local produce, foraged wild ingredients, an organic wine list and enjoying everything from dry-aged beef to fully plant-based dishes, home-brewed beers and a view of the whisky distillery.
Experience an evening full of local flavours and choose the number of courses that suits your wishes. Let yourself be surprised by different courses. Every course a dish perfected down to the smallest detail by our chefs!
Whisky & wine pairing
For each course it's also possible to have a whisky or a wine specially chosen to serve alongside the dish. The wine arrangement is of course also available as an organic (BOB) variant. Don't drink alcohol at all? Then we have lovely mocktails and matching alcohol-free drinks. In that case too, we're happy to advise you.
Naturally, all menus can also be made vegan, and we're happy to take into account guests who eat gluten-free and other dietary wishes or allergens.
Honest food. Pure enjoyment.

local and almost exclusively organic ingredients. Is an ingredient not organic? Then we need an extra good reason for it: we call this an 'alibio' and at the table we'll explain why we chose this product anyway, despite the lack of an organic certificate. This usually means an even more sustainable choice, an even better story and local sourcing.

Sustainable dining
Nose to tail
We work very closely with our suppliers and put together a weekly menu based on what they have to offer. This way, we perfectly follow the seasons and what mother nature provides. Our chefs go to the farm themselves to select a bull or cow that is slaughtered for us. We then process it 'nose to tail'. We try to use everything that comes from the land. We give value to products that would otherwise unintentionally be labelled as waste or by-products, for example by also using the peel or pit. We process everything to minimise food waste and reduce our footprint. And that's exactly what our menu is entirely based on.
House-brewed drinks
Besides our house-distilled whisky, most other drinks on our menu are also brewed and bottled right here on our own farm. From house-brewed beers made from our own brewing barley and cider from our own apples, to self-bottled craft sodas. And let's not forget the house-distilled eau-de-vie and homemade liqueurs made with fruit from our own food forest.
Food forest & vegetable garden
Our own food forest is a place where we largely let nature take its course. Many of our service staff regularly lend a helping hand in the food forest and vegetable garden themselves, so they can tell you a lot about it. How wonderful is it that our chefs can take a morning walk through the food forest, and that during this walk, creativity leads to new dishes that are presented in our menu that very same evening? That's the ambition of our chefs, and we work hard to make it happen.
