The cask: A single malt with Brabant roots, refined by Spanish elegance. Made from barley grown on the Bus family's own farm and distilled with artisan pride and honour. This edition matured exclusively in a more than 100-year-old Amontillado quarter cask and is bottled undiluted at cask strength (64%) for maximum intensity.
The tasting: Nose: aromas of ripe plum, oak and hazelnut, with a subtle hint of tropical fruit. Palate: full-bodied and spicy, with pronounced notes of nutmeg and bay leaf, supported by oak, gentle pepper and ripe fruit that create a well-balanced character. Finish: medium-length, carrying the spice forward with lingering notes of bay leaf and nutmeg, joined by oak, marzipan, a touch of pepper and the sweet richness of ripe plum.
The moment: Pour it for someone who loves a spicy, bold whisky at full strength, or add a few drops of water to open up the sweeter plum and marzipan notes.
