The cask: A single malt with Brabant roots, refined by Spanish elegance. Made from barley grown on the Bus family's own farm and distilled with artisan pride. This edition matured in an Amontillado sherry cask that previously held the fine, lightly nutty sherry of southern Spain. The label is based on Dryland, the artwork by Liselot Coblens that forms the basis for our editions matured on fortified wine casks.
The tasting: Nose: a gentle sweetness of ripe yellow fruit, joined by raisins. Palate: the tropical richness of mango, balanced by a subtle bitterness of Earl Grey tea and liquorice. Finish: medium length, with fruity notes, liquorice and a touch of oak that slowly fades.
The moment: Pour it as an aperitif for anyone who loves a fruity, refined opening, or give it as a gift to a lover of sherry-matured whiskies.
