This green BUS Whisky tube represents our expressions matured in fortified wine casks and tells the story of a landscape in transition. The design is based on the artwork Dryland by artist Liselot Coblens and reflects the layered and complex nature of these whiskies.
Liselot Coblens translated a bird’s-eye view of the hamlet of Bus into a handcrafted textile artwork. Different colours, layers and materials come together to represent the landscape and the processes shaping it.
The Netherlands is often associated with water: green fields, canals, rivers and grazing cattle. Yet beneath this familiar image, a slower and less visible transformation is taking place. Prolonged drought gradually alters the soil, lowers groundwater levels and shifts the balance of the landscape. This quiet process of dehydration forms the essence of Dryland.
Within BUS Whisky, the green tube represents expressions matured in fortified wine casks, where additional layers, aromas and complexity are developed. Just like the artwork, these whiskies are built on structure, depth and nuance.
BUS Whisky collaborates closely with artists and designers, placing nature and origin at the heart of its identity. This tube is therefore not just packaging, but a visual expression of the story behind the whisky.
